The Colombian President has promised to invest in education, if fighting in the country stops.
A conflict between the government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) has been going on for over five decades. President Juan Manuel Santos says that if peace can be achieved, then all the money that currently funds the conflict will instead be invested into education.
Some agreements have already been reached – concerning land, the prevention of drug trafficking and so on – so there are high hopes of a solution being found.
