New safeguarding module for schools released at Bett 2016

In today’s complex online environment, students can be at risk of harm without anyone knowing.

UK software developer, NetSupport, has taken this idea and run with it to create new safeguarding tools to help schools monitor and alert on any online activity by a student using school technology that might suggest that they are engaged in activity that would place them at risk.

The proactive Keyword and Phrase monitoring feature uses advanced neurolinguistics technology to provide teachers with an insight into what students are typing (as well as the context), while the Report a concern tool gives students the opportunity to ask a nominated and trusted member of staff (discreetly or anonymously) for guidance across the range of safeguarding issues.

The tools are part of the education edition of IT asset management solution, NetSupport DNA; a solution that helps schools to manage and track their IT equipment, whilst saving them time and giving them the tools to help them save money – as well as adding an extra layer of security.
