altUK business customers will yet again have to pay more for software licences as Microsoft announces a volume licensing price hike.

From 1st July, Microsoft will increase volume licensing prices by an average of 29 per cent to “ensure greater consistency with the equivalent Euro price list,” said Microsoft UK’s general manager of marketing and operations.

The change is said not to affect education products, which will continue to carry a substantial discount, but Microsoft said that if currencies change, then further price changes could not be ruled out.
