E-books and e-readers have experienced a steep rise in interest, reveals a leading technology magazine poll.

PC Advisor magazine polled visitors to its website in February 2009 and November 2010 about their opinions on e-books and e-book readers. The results reveal that despite initial resistance to the electronic readers, their popularity has since soared.

Incentives such as free publications supplied by dedicated e-book stores may have contributed to the rise in interest, as well as the facility to link to sharing mechanisms such as Twitter and Facebook on some of the newer e-reader models.
