Assoc Prof Le Quang Minh, the project director of the Vietnamese Skills for Employment Programme (VSEP), says that since the government brought in a law on vocational education in July 2015 and has focused on improving its training provision, Vietnam is now approaching a point where it is on a par with other global nations.

Vietnam is being supported and assisted by the Canadian Government to develop the quality of technical education it provides.

Professor Minh says that Vietnam aims to emulate the training strategies used across the world that produce students with the knowledge, skills and ability to adapt – all of which are valuable to employers.
